No parent should feel alone while raising a child with an inherited retinal disease (IRD).
We started MOMS for Sight because we know how isolating this journey can feel. Many of us spent years trying to understand our child’s diagnosis while facing questions most parents never expect: Will my child’s vision get worse? Will they be able to drive? How will school support them? Could they pass this condition on to their own children someday?
Then we found each other and realized we were stronger together.
Moms for Sight raises money for research, but we also support families in everyday life. We share resources, talk through school accommodations, prepare for hard conversations, and help our children become strong self-advocates.
Our children are kids first. They may have an IRD, but they are not defined by it.
We fund research. We build community. We make sure no parent walks this journey alone.
